Antigua July 2011

The Antigua Hotel & Tourist Association celebrated the six 2011 Antiguan Scholars on 14 July 2011.

Congrats to: Robert Samuel, CIBC-First Caribbean Scholar / Keisha Benjamin Starwood Scholar / Marcia Marshall & Ebony Edwards - Johnson & Wales University Scholars / Annell Isaac & Charmina Barton who won General Scholarships.

Huge thanks to our proud partners, Virgin Holidays & CIBC-FirstCaribbean who were present and delivered uplifting remarks to the scholars. Thanks also to the incredible Anthea Watkins, AHTA, for her passion & belief in the scholarship program and her mentoring of her applicants.

Janet Musi, CHTAEF Coordinator introduced each scholar and their story to the attendees garnering much applause for the winners


Grenada May 2011

The Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association celebrated three 2011 Scholars in May 2011.

Thanks to Pancy Cross, GHTA, Russ Felden, President and Clive Barnes, CHTAEF Trustee

Scholars Andre Church & Manda Peters won General Scholarships to study Associates Culinary Management & Master Bartender respectively.

Shanelle Rodney is the second Grenadian to win the coveted VIRGIN HOLIDAYS Scholarship, guaranteeing her US$10,000 per year for her tuition at B.Sc. studies at Johnson & Wales University in Sports, Entertainment & Event Management.

Thank You to Virgin Holidays Johanna Kostka for shining brightly on behalf of Amanda Wills, Managing Director, at the presentation.
