New York Times Travel Show
January 2013
THANK YOU! to all the great folks of the tri-state area who braved very cold weather to come out and support the CHTA Education Foundation (CHTAEF) silent Caribbean Auction at the New York Times Travel Show in January. Great Caribbean Vacations were snapped up at incredible prices thanks to the generosity of our resort, hotel and attraction partners, so ensuring we have a healthy pot of scholarship monies to award our 2013 intelligent and aspiring Caribbean hospitality professionals.
CHTA Education Foundation patrons and their cherished guests enjoyed a remarkably intimate, exclusive evening on 10th March, 2012 as they sipped Champagne & dined at the stunning Wallace Collection - one of the world's most comprehensive private art collections that includes Hals' 'The Laughing Cavalier' and other great works by Rembrandt, Rubens, Titian and Canaletto.
All proceeds from the evening supported young Caribbean scholars studying Hospitality & Tourism and the CHTAEF-Haiti Project that has been on the ground in Port au Prince since the devastating earthquake in 2010, supporting surviving hotel school students in their vocational learning.
