Marika Nurse-Anthony - 2005
I am delighted to write this letter to let you know how grateful I am to be given the opportunity to attend that prestigious institution of culinary learning. Though it was a frustrating to have the specific course for which I was registered cancelled after my arrival, I was truly grateful that the Foundation agreed to my request to participate in an alternative one. I am sending a copy of my certificate which was issued to me upon my completion.
After doing this Asian course, my interest has been stimulated even more. The experience has helped me to develop an overview of the different cooking techniques, ingredients, traditional flavors an theoretical aspects of Asian food preparations.
The production exercises and the product evaluations will stay with me. They have helped me to appreciate the delicate and distinctive flavor, texture variation, nutritional value and attractiveness of Asian Cuisine. The course has also provided useful educational information, and an interesting link between theory and practical work. The opportunity has truly enhanced my knowledge of Asian dishes.
I plan to use the knowledge I have acquired to enhance my chosen career by playing a supportive role and being able to introduce new ideas, demonstrations and practice what I have learnt and assisting my colleagues in every way possible.
Thank you very much for this opportunity, I will be sure to put it to good use for the further enhancement and development of myself, my organization and the Caribbean Tourism Industry.
Yours truly
Marika Nurse-Anthony
