CHTA Membership Outreach to Belize

On July 3rd the Belize Hotel Association held its Annual General Meeting at the Black Orchid Resort in Belize. Guest Speaker at the AGM was Ms. Martha Valdivia, CHTA’s Director of Membership Development. Ms. Valdivia shared her in-depth knowledge of online sales and marketing, and her experience in cultivating and maintaining partnerships in the Caribbean.

She spoke of Belize’s position in the Caribbean market, and our shared issues, culture, markets, and ideas with the rest of the region. She advised all regional tourism stakeholders to take advantage of all the marketing, advocacy, networking, and learning tools that CHTA offers its membership and Caribbean partners.

The event’s keynote speaker, Ms. Stephanie Rest, CEO and Founder of Caribbean Wellness and Education, and long time CHTA sponsor and supporter, spoke on the rapidly growing wellness market, and how Belizean stakeholders could utilize already existing tools, products, services, or interests, that appeal to this type of traveler to tap into this million dollar market.
