Congratulations to Anguillian Scholar

Some two years ago, Ms. Kim Blaize who is currently employed at The Reef Hotel approached the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association seeking assistance to enroll into the Anguilla Community College, with interest to study Hospitality and Tourism Management.

She expressed a burning passion to further herself and feed her ambition. At the time, she was focused on simply being able to afford to pay her daughter’s college tuition to ensure that she finish her studies, but she knew that she also wanted to also pursue tertiary studies, and it was difficult for her.

The Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association solicits hotel stays annually to assist the Caribbean Hotel Tourism Educational Foundation in raising funds, which returns to the destination in the form of scholarships. The AHTA solicited the support of CHTA for funding for Kim, and we  were so pleased that we were  successful in being able to support, and she was provided with the desired funds required to enroll in the program at the Anguilla Community College.

Fast forward  two years later, I am proud to present Ms. Kim Blaze, who has recently graduated with honors.
We are so pleased for her, and continue to strive to assist our members to ensure that our young people are well equipped and prepared to develop our Tourism industry. Thanks Kim Blaze for making us all so proud. Job well done!
