Representing You

The leading unified voice of the private sector for tourism in the region working closely with the National Hotel and Tourism Associations while effectively communicating issues, proactively advancing positions and successfully protecting and enhancing the industry.

The CHTA is the industry’s regional private sector voice on all matters affecting tourism.  With a network of 32 national hotel and tourism associations, over 1,000 members, and a reach to public and private sector regional and global stakeholder organizations, CHTA connects issues, information and ideas on a range of topics which impact the industry.

STRATEGIC GOALS

The organization’s advocacy work is directed by four strategic goals:

  • Agenda:  A regional tourism advocacy action agenda with broad buy-in.
  • National Hotel and Tourism Associations:  Supporting NHTAs to be better advocates for local and regional issues.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:  Strengthening and broadening stakeholder partnerships with trade, regional and international organizations to support advocacy agenda.
  • Resource and Clearinghouse:  An essential point for input and information supporting the development and advancement of policies and initiatives which affect tourism.
