American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA)

The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) represents the U.S. lodging industry, including hotel owners, REITs, chains, franchisees, management companies, independent properties, state hotel associations, and industry suppliers. AH&LA provides focused advocacy, communications support, and educational resources for the industry.

Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA)

The Caribbean Public Health Agency is a public health agency established in 2011, which brings together public health agencies on issues requiring a regional response.  These include emergency responses to disasters (hurricanes, earthquakes, flooding) and the surveillance and management of diseases.  Information and technical assistance is available to support the region.

Caribbean Central American Action (CCAA)

The CCAA promotes private sector-led economic development in the Caribbean Basin. The Washington DC-based organization facilitates trade and investment by fostering constructive dialogue between the private and public sectors to improve the policy and regulatory environments for business at the local, regional, and international levels.

Caribbean Council (CC)

The Caribbean Council is a specialist not-for-profit organization providing services internationally to companies, trade associations, governments, public sector organizations, and regional and multilateral organizations.  The Council supports and encourages trade and investment between the UK, the Caribbean and Central America.

Caribbean Society of Hotel Association Executives (CSHAE)

Caribbean Society of Hotel Association Executives is an independent organization for the professional development of national hotel association executives from the 32 CHTA member national hotel associations.

Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF)

CHTAEF is an independent non-profit organization that offers scholarships and special assistance for the education of Caribbean tourism industry personnel and students pursuing tourism & hospitality careers.

Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO)

The Caribbean Tourism Organization headquartered in Barbados and offices in New York and London, CTO is the Caribbean’s tourism development agency, led by Ministries and Boards of Tourism from over 30 countries and territories in the region.  CTO provides services and information which supports the development of sustainable tourism for the economic and social benefit of the Caribbean.

Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA)

The FCCA represents 19 member cruise lines operating more than 100 vessels in Floridian, Caribbean and Latin American waters. The FCCA’s mandate is to provide a forum for discussion on tourism development, ports, safety, security and other cruise industry issues. The FCCA works with partner destinations and other partner organizations.

International Air Transport Association (IATA)

The International Air Transport Association is the trade association for the world’s airlines, representing over 250 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. IATA supports many areas of aviation activity and helps to formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues.

National Tourism Association Coalition (NTAC)

The National Travel Association Coalition (NTAC) comprises travel associations from Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, Egypt, Europe, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States, and provides a forum for national travel associations to support each other and ensure the sustainable growth of travel and tourism.

World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC)

WTTC is the forum for business leaders in the travel and tourism industry. With Chief Executives of some one hundred of the world’s leading travel and tourism companies as its members, WTTC has a unique mandate and overview on all matters related to Travel & Tourism.  WTTC conducts extensive research on the industry, it’s impact, and issues in support of the industry’s growth and development.

Industry Organizations

The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI)

AHLEI was founded in 1953 to provide working hospitality professionals with education and training. AHLEI continues to meet the needs of the industry with a variety of hospitality solutions, including online learning, professional certification, and resources for high schools, colleges, and workforce agencies.

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI)

HSMAI is committed to growing business for hotels and their partners, and is the industry’s leading advocate for intelligent, sustainable hotel revenue growth. The association provides hotel professionals & their partners with tools, insights, and expertise to fuel sales, inspire marketing, and optimize revenue.

International Hotel & Restaurant Association (IH&RA)

The IH&RA is the only international trade association exclusively devoted to promoting and defending the interests of the hotel and restaurant industry worldwide. It is a non-profit organization and is officially recognized by the United Nations. IH&RA monitors and lobbies all international agencies on behalf of the hospitality industry.

World Trade Organization (WTO)

WTO is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business.
